Mak Tok’s Authentic Chilli Pastes were born of a need for a delicious, authentic tasting chilli paste when Will was a student at university, and found his cooking lacked a little something. Taking inspiration from his mother’s recipe, Will got to work and Mak Tok was born!

Mak Tok Is Malay For Grandmother. And it was a kind hearted lady, known as Mak Tok to her grandchildren, who helped me on my quest to make the perfect chilli paste, and because I’m forever in her debt, I’ve named my pastes in her honour.
