The Taste Lancashire Producer Awards 2024

Booths have partnered with Marketing Lancashire to launch the new Taste Lancashire Producer Awards.
Good luck to each of the finalists!
We’re excited to partner with Marketing Lancashire to launch these new awards, which champion local suppliers and spotlight some of the delicious food and drink they produce. Since 1847, our goal has been to provide top-quality produce, service, and a warm Northern welcome, all of which has been backed by our Lancastrian heritage.
Applications opened for local businesses across Lancashire in September 2024, giving them the opportunity to showcase their products and brand story for the chance of being shortlisted. Companies from around the county made up the finalists in each category, including bakers, coffee roasters, distillers, dairy producers, artisan chocolatiers, and condiment creators, each of whom then met for a final tasting and judging session at Booths Central Office. The expert panel of judges was comprised of Booths Managing Director, Nigel Murray, Head of Trading and Marketing, John Gill, Buying Manager Carla Mills, and guest judge, Suzi Wynne of Wynne Business.
After opening our first store 178 years ago in Blackpool, Booths has been establishing the business across Lancashire and the rest of the Northern counties, now with 26 stores and a lovely community of customers. Our ethos started with our founder, Edwin Henry Booth, who strived to “sell the best goods available, in attractive stores, staffed with first class assistants”, something that each finalist of these awards helps us achieve, showcasing some of the best products in the county.
One of our judges, John Gill, shared his excitement about the partnership that has led to the Taste Lancashire Producer Awards “Our history and entrepreneurial spirit has given us a great appreciation for the talented suppliers based in Lancashire and across Booths Country. From family-owned businesses with strong, deep-rooted history to new startups and everything in between, there is so much talent among our local suppliers that we want to celebrate.“
We hope this collaboration with Marketing Lancashire will provide fresh opportunities for both established and new businesses to showcase their products and put a spotlight on the thriving food and drink industry in Lancashire.
