Picked Today Strawberries

Each year at Booths as Spring turns to Summer we start to get our freshly picked today English strawberries into selected stores. It’s exactly as it says, the strawberries are harvested and then delivered into stores that same morning – which means you get the absolute pick of the crop at its freshest, with a taste that’s hard to beat.

We have a selection of partners we work with, Berrygardens based in Southport, Merseyside, Spilman Nurseries in Sessay, North Yorkshire, Lemken Nurseries in Hesketh Bank, Lancashire and Berrygardens based in Stafford, Staffordshire.

These delicious strawberries are currently appearing in:

Ripon, Ilkley and Settle, with last deliveries due in on Saturday 22nd July.

Chorley, Fulwood, Longridge, Garstang, Scotforth, Media City, Hale Barns, Knutsford, Lytham, Poulton and St Annes stores with last deliveries due in on the 18th July.

It’s worth just phoning ahead before you make a special trip to ensure they’re in.

As with any crop, exact dates can’t be guaranteed but we’ll always let you know once they’re in so you can get your hands on them! These are so good on their own, or with our giant meringues and fresh cream, but if you’d like to make them into something spectacular take a look at our recipes:
