Treacle Toffee Roasted Bananas With Rum Whipped Cream
			
		Ingredients
- 1tbsp soft butter
 - 1tbsp golden syrup
 - 1tsp treacle
 - 1tbsp muscovado sugar
 - 2 bananas
 - 100g double cream
 - 25ml rum
 
Instructions
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 220°c / 200°c Fan / 428°F/ Gas Mark 6.
 - In a bowl mix together the butter, golden syrup, treacle and sugar.
 - Cut a deep opening into each banana and spread the butter mix into the cut.
 - Place the two bananas onto a parchment lined baking tray and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
 - Softly whip some double cream and add the rum.
 - Open the cooked banana and serve with a dollop of rum whipped cream.
 
Chef’s Tip:
To flambé the banana, warm some rum in a saucepan or microwave and drizzle over the open banana and carefully light with a lighter or match before you serve with the whipped cream.
