We are proud to sponsor the Food Producer of the Year category at the 2025 Cumbria Food Awards.

As a retailer who aims to champion our local community, we have supported the Cumbria Food Awards since their launch, providing delicious food for the awards guests made from the incredible produce found in our stores. This year, we are taking our involvement further by sponsoring the Food Producer of the Year category!

Since opening in 1847, we have continuously worked with local suppliers, supporting farming and food production across the four counties we call Booths Country: Yorkshire, Cheshire, Cumbria and Lancashire. Our ambition to support local made it an obvious category to sponsor, with Head of Marketing and Trading, John Gill, saying “Booths have always proudly stocked produce from many of the North’s finest food and drink producers. After being associated with the Cumbria Food Awards since their launch, we are pleased to be sponsoring the category this year. Good luck to all of the nominees, we look forward to celebrating at the awards ceremony in March”.

Nestled above Lancashire, in the North-West of England, Cumbria and The Lake District are home to many great food producers, and we are excited to see which lucky winner gets handed the trophy on awards night.

The celebration held at Kendal College on Thursday 20^th March 2025, will be hosted by Chef and TV Presenter, Matt Tebbutt, best known for his work on BBC’s Saturday Kitchen. The lovely host and producers won’t be the only stars of the show though as the canapés, with ingredients supplied from our stores, will be cooked by the wonderful students at Kendal College, feeding 165 guests including finalists, sponsors, judges and special guests!
