Wilton London

Sam, founder of Wilton London, didn’t want to have to choose between ethical eco-cleaning products, or cleaning products that smell great and work well. Sam (born and raised in lovely Lancashire) wanted his cleaning products to look good in his home, smell of nature and be kind to our planet. And that’s where Wilton was born.

Wilton London has created a range of ethical cleaning products that look great and smell great because they’re packed with beautifully scented essential oils. Their formulas are plant based, manufactured in the UK, Vegan Society registered, use lightweight recycled plastic and are Certified B Corp. That means they meet the highest verified standards of environmental and social performance, transparency, and accountability. Wilton’s mission is to make doing the chores less of a chore while helping you reduce your (and their) impact on the environment.

Ecozone Proactive Sports Wash Laundry Liquid, 750ml £5.49
The formulation of this Pro-active Sports Wash is specially designed to fight typical sports stains such as grass, dirt, clay and blood. Containing an active ingredient: Zinc Ricinoleate, that helps to eliminate odour during activity and to ensure that unpleasant smells are removed even at low wash temperatures. It is specifically made suitable for functional fabrics like Gore-Tex ®, mixed textiles and outdoor textiles etc.

In addition, The formula maintains the membrane-function and other special features of the clothing. Works like a “regular” liquid detergent and cleans the clothing with surfactants and enzymes, so can also be used for other clothing besides sports gear.

Bio-D

Back in the 1980s, Bio-D founder Michael Barwell’s job was to clean and maintain commercial ships. It was tough work using industrial cleaning products for which heavy-duty safety equipment, including a respirator, had to be worn. Michael was shocked to discover that many of the ingredients in the products he used at work could also be found in everyday household cleaners. It prompted him to look for naturally-derived alternatives that would clean safely and effectively without harming people or the environment, and in 1989, Bio-D was born.

Michael has since retired from the business with Lloyd Atkin taking over after working with the business since 1996. With Lloyd at the helm, the Bio-D team works every day to continue Michael’s legacy, creating cleaning products that are Effective, Ethical and Don’t cost the Earth.

Bio-D products are all made in Hull, Yorkshire with ethically and sustainably sourced ingredients. Vegan and cruelty-free, the company is proudly endorsed by Cruelty Free International, The Vegan Society, and Allergy UK. They use plastic recycled from kerbside collections in their 100% recycled plastic bottles across the majority of their range, which can itself be recycled. Their products are some of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly cleaning solutions on the market.
