English Wines

The English wine industry has experienced a revival over recent years, with both production and the number of vineyards in the UK increasing. This, coupled with the fact English wines have become major players in the global wine scene, even beating major Champagne houses in blind tastings, has lead us to expand our range in store.

We’re renowned for our commitment to sourcing high quality products, local where possible, and building close relationships with our producers – that’s why we think you’ll love our expanded range of English wines.

Our Wine Buyer Victoria Di Muccio says:

This is an incredibly exciting time for English wine and I’ve been struck by the vast improvement in quality over recent years. English wine, sparkling in particular, is really carving out a well-deserved place on the international stage.

There has been a real increase in appetite for English wine among our customers and we now offer a fantastic selection to explore.

There are over fifteen medal winning wines in the new range at Booths, with The Wiston Estate Rosé 2011 topping the list with four gold medals from various international and national competitions. We have an extensive range from Chapel Down, plus appearances from Camel Valley, Hambledon, Nyetimber, Ridgeview and Lyme Bay. Prices start from just £11 for a 75cl bottle so there’s sure to be an English wine in store perfect for your party. Cheers!
