WilderBee Sriracha Hot Honey

Honey dripped over fried chicken.

Born in 2014, WilderBee Sriracha Hot Honey is the perfect condiment to spice up any recipe. Drizzle over pizza or fried chicken to add some sweet heat to your savoury treats, add a tasty tang to  your dessert by squeezing over ice cream or even make your cocktail hot by mixing a dash into your drink.

After discovering the tasty twist on traditional honey on top of his dollar slice in New York, eco-chef Dan Shearman began a new venture from the hatch of his food truck, bringing the condiment to the UK. The brand’s founder has spent his culinary career focused on making our food system more sustainable, building WilderBee Hot Honey around ethical practices. Everything is made with each person and bee in mind, with the apiaries having responsible sourcing at their core, focusing on bee health, low impact harvesting and habitat conservation. Even the chillies are ethically farmed, being grown at community-centred farms in Rwanda that support fair wages, free education for local children and environmental initiatives. What started as a side hustle, selling small pots of product from his truck, has soon become a tasty favourite that supports people, pollinators and the planet with every bottle!

Sloemotion Cherry Brandy

Bottle of Sloemotion Cherry Brandy.

Joff Curtoy, founder of Sloemotion, grew up with fond memories of his father making home-made Sloe Gin, so when Green Farm found themselves with an abundance of sloes back in 2002, the idea of a distillery that used traditional techniques to create flavourful, delicious liqueurs formed and the Sloemotion Distillery was born. Now 22 years old, the distillers have mastered their techniques for making their drinks.

This gorgeous Hedgerow Cherry Brandy (26%) is made from a blend of mellow French Brandy, sugar and a mix of sweet and tangy whole cherries. The fruity tones of the Brandy fuse perfectly with rich hints of marzipan from the lengthy steeping process which draws out the natural flavours of the cherry stone, creating a smooth, warm finish. Use the Brandy for baking to make a scrumptious fruit cake with hints of almond or mix with apple juice and berry cordial to create the “Cherry Orchard”, a tempting cocktail thought up by the Sloemotion team. Alternatively, simply serve neat to fully experience the warming flavours this wonderful liqueur offers.

After meeting in the Cederberg mountains, Grant Rushmere and Richard Bowsher combined their passions to craft a delicious drink designed for those with a bright outlook on life, an appreciation for creativity and motivation for a healthy lifestyle.

BOS Organic Peach Ice Tea is made with Rooibos, a red tea that can only be found in the vast landscape of the Cederberg Mountains in South Africa’s Western Cape.  This wonder ingredient makes BOS Ice Tea naturally caffeine-free and high in antioxidants, minerals and electrolytes as well as lending itself to the drink’s great taste, with over 60 million people in France and The Netherlands voting it as the ‘Best Tasting Ice Tea’.

The brand not only produces incredible drinks but also understands the importance of giving back to local populations. With a sustainable development partnership with Greenpop, seeing them plant over 38,000 trees; a Traditional Knowledge Levy that supports indigenous communities; and a Rainforest Alliance Seal, BOS aims to bring a nourishing, playful beverage to UK markets that uses local 100% organic ingredients and ethical practices that help take care of people and the environment.

Booths Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb

Booths Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb.
E Oldroyd and Sons with their crop.

To grow our Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb, we’re proud to work with E Oldroyd and Sons . With a strong history of farming and their unique methods, their crop is one of the best in the area. An approved farm in ‘The Rhubarb Triangle’, where there are now only 9 growers left in a nine square mile area of Yorkshire, bordering Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield, E Oldroyd are one of the few remaining plants that can be labelled as official ‘Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb’. This stamp along with their ‘Protected Designation of Origin (PDO)’ status and place on the list of ‘Europe’s Protected Food’ marks the level of quality and has only made the tasty, vibrantly coloured vegetable more popular when it’s in season between January and March.

Forced rhubarb grows in special conditions that allow the plant to be ready for picking in the winter months. By keeping the rhubarb away from daylight in dark heated sheds and harvesting it by candlelight, the plant produces less green chlorophyll, leading to brighter, pinker stems and a sweeter flavour. This makes it perfect for adding into scrumptious seasonal recipes such as a Rhubarb Jam Roly Poly or enjoying the taste and softer texture by poaching and serving with custard or cream.

Nearly a decade ago, Oliver Taylor, took the leap to open his own café in the Mancunian Northern Quarter. Reminiscing on his culinary experiences from travelling and working in restaurants made him realise he could create indulgent concoctions that would capture the tastebuds of everyone who visited. A few years later, Black Milk’s delicious recipes had become the talk of the town, gaining traction across Manchester, encouraging the team to open an online store selling their mouth-watering spreads. Last year, the adventure continued with the creams becoming available in Booths stores, from hazelnutty goodness to this decadent pistachio spread!

Savour the rich, moreish taste of Black Milk’s Pistachio Cream by simply enjoying as a topping on some fluffy pancakes, using our recipe for Stephanie Shaw’s Vegan Pancakes.

Shakshuka made with Isle Of Wight Tomatoes Tomato Shakshuka Sauce.

The team at Isle of Wight tomatoes are experts in growing the fruit, producing over 40 varieties each year. Grown in the maritime air of the Arreton Valley, this tomato shakshuka sauce helps ensure there is zero waste, while producing a delicious hand-crafted blend of vegetables and spices, inspired by the traditional North African dish. From the wonky, to round and even the ones that are too juicy to ship, no tomato is forgotten!

This sauce is full of flavour with a medium spice and hints of sweet and smoky. To make the perfect Shakshuka, heat the sauce in a deep-frying pan, crack two eggs in to wells made in the sauce and cook with the lid on for 4-5 minutes. Once the timer’s up and your kitchen is full of tasty aromas, remove the lid to reveal the mouth-watering dish and serve with flatbreads, or make it vegan by replacing the eggs with spinach and tofu.

Tenute Orestiadi Orange Inzolia Wine

Bottle of Tenute Orestiadi Orange Inzolia Organic Wine.

The Tenute Orestiadi Orange Inzolia Organic Wine from the Island of Sicily is a soft, crisp wine with hints of florals, almonds and orange peel. It is made by leaving the grapes to macerate in contact with their skins, encouraging the wine to embody the deep flavours that come from the outside of the fruit. The complex and structured flavours make it ideal for pairing with more challenging foods such as asparagus, mushroom and mature cheeses with the freshness and intensity making it a versatile choice, perfect for aperitifs, main courses or enjoying with raw fish dishes like sushi.

Now 16 years old, Tenute Orestiadi is based in the cultural city of Gibellina, producing stunning wines with the best grapes from across the region, including the rich soils of Mount Etna. With a vision of intertwining art and culture with the history of the incredible city and flavours of the Mediterranean, the brand aims to create luscious wines that will be tasty accompaniments to your meal or enjoyed alone to appreciate the fine ingredients that make up each bottle.

Grandma Singleton’s Tasty Lancashire Cheese

Locally produced at a farm in Lancashire, Grandma Singleton’s Tasty Lancashire Cheese has been a favourite across Booths Country for over 80 years. The smooth texture and strong, nutty flavour of the cheese is made during the maturing process, where it is left for up to a year to build a more complex and intense taste. Versatile and delicious, this can be used for a variety of dishes whether it’s in a classic cheese and onion pie for the added strength, enjoyed in a sandwich with some local chutney or included as a scrumptious addition to a dessert cheeseboard.

Grandma Singleton herself grew up making cheese, often gifting her creations to the Rhodes Family, owners of Carron Lodge, inspiring them to begin making cheese in 1988. Now the two families work hand in hand to bring us their delicious products, celebrating their heritage by using Grandma’s expertise in flavour innovation and creativity.
