A new month is the perfect time for freshening up your home. With the days getting longer and the ice melting, it’s the ideal time to start getting ready for spring. Whether it’s a kitchen refresh or tips for cleaning the bathroom, we’ve got you covered.

Top 10 Cleaning Tips:

  1. Pick up dust more effectively by using a slightly damp microfibre cloth.
  2. Place a small bowl of bicarbonate of soda at the back of the fridge to keep it smelling fresh.
  3. Fill a bowl with equal parts water and lemon juice and microwave for 5 minutes. Leave the door closed for a further 10 minutes to allow the steam to loosen the dirt. Clean as normal, collecting all the dirt that has been loosened.
  4. Recycle old t-shirts, pillowcases, and socks by using them to clean up dust!
  5. Use equal parts water and white vinegar to descale your kettle. Just fill to ¾ full and boil.
  6. Leave your sink full of 3 parts water to 1 part disinfectant overnight to eliminate odours and freshen up your kitchen!
  7. Add various houseplants to your décor, they naturally collect dust, so it doesn’t land on other surfaces. Don’t forget to occasionally clean their leaves to keep them looking fresh though!
  8. Find a new purpose for your old toothbrush by using it to clean tight spaces like in between tiles, around taps and the corners of your shower.
  9. Apply washing up liquid directly to stains to help break up grease and dirt. Gently rub it in and let it soak for 1 minute. Use a damp cloth to wipe clean.
  10. Fold up a piece of kitchen roll and add a few drops of undiluted disinfectant to it. Place it at the bottom of your bin before you replace the bag to help prevent bad odours.
